Terms of Use for the Ateret Yosef Board
Using the Ateret Yosef Board constitutes acceptance of the terms set out below. Please read them carefully before using the Service.

1. General & Acceptance
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your use of the Ateret Yosef app and website and any related service (the "Service"). Using the Service, by any means, constitutes full acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. About the Service
Ateret Yosef is an independent, non-profit personal and community project that provides synagogues with a free digital display board. The Service is not affiliated with, identified with, or endorsed in any way by the Home Front Command (Pikud HaOref), the IDF, or any governmental or official body.
3. Service Provided "As Is" — No Warranty
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We accept no liability whatsoever — direct, indirect, consequential, or otherwise — for the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information, the availability of the Service, malfunctions, downtime, delays, errors, data loss, or any damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
4. Red Alerts — For Assistance Only
The red alert feature is intended for assistance and convenience only, and is not an official source or a substitute for the instructions of the authorities. Alerts are sourced from official or third-party services, and the source may change from time to time. Alerts may be delayed, inaccurate, partial, missing, or fail to appear at all. Do not rely on the Service as your sole or primary source for safety or emergency decisions. Always stay informed through the official Home Front Command channels and act according to their instructions. We accept no liability for any damage, direct or indirect, arising from reliance on the alerts or from their absence.
5. Paid Red Alert Feature
The red alert feature involves a one-time, symbolic, per-synagogue payment that constitutes a contribution toward infrastructure and maintenance costs (it is not a monthly subscription). The payment does not grant any commitment to continuous availability, a guaranteed service level, or a fixed service period, and the feature is provided "as is". We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service running over time. If the alert feature is discontinued within 12 months of payment, you may contact us for a pro-rata or goodwill refund.
6. Availability & Changes
We may modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service — including features, screens, or the entire Service — at any time, without prior notice and without any obligation to provide an alternative. There is no guarantee of continuous availability or ongoing maintenance.
7. Acceptable Use
The Service may be used for lawful purposes only. You may not harm the Service infrastructure or other users, attempt to bypass security mechanisms or restrictions, or use the Service in any manner that violates applicable law.
8. Intellectual Property
All rights in the Service, including the code, design, logo, and accompanying content, are reserved to the Service operator. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or make commercial use of these materials without prior written permission.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update is posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
